    Ehi, guys!

Hello team, great concept, could the material also be different? could it be recycled plastics or a bio based material? what happens at the end of its life? could the transportation size even be reduced, e.g. by folding it in the middle? thanks

Thanks!! Recycled plastic usually loses its mechanical properties (or at least a percentage of it decreases) so it would be risky to use it or it would probably need additives to increase its strenght. In a way the process could get more expensive than producing a virgin plastic. A bio based Polymer on the other hand has good mechanical properties and could be a nice solution. We don't know exactly which Polymer would suit this project the best, we should research more about it. Maybe if we don't change material than it would be nice to study more deeply a new use that the structure could have. Right now we just defined this output as "open-loop" recycle. About folding it in the middle we do not think it would reduce much the transportation's size, on the contrary we think it would weaken the structure which is already really thin. Note that we are just newbies and this project was made by students, so we are still learning and we could be wrong for most of it so if you have any other suggestions we would be more than glad to hear them. Hope we answered to everything. Cheers!
