There is a need for information on the correct user behaviour. By means of campaigns which are to involve chimney sweeps as knowledge mediators, users are taught how to handle their system, how to heat it up properly, etc. The chimney sweeps should be paid to hold training courses for private users. As far as fuel quality is concerned, clear regulations and standardisation of requirements are required. For example, the sale of fuels with a moisture content of more than 25% could be prohibited. The use of pellets is also beneficial, as there are hardly any quality issues with this fuel.
