Yoseki is Japanese traditional art, which creates the beautiful mosaic using woods (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yosegi). The mosaic arts can be used for design of wooden ítems such as furniture, chopstick, plate etc. Yoseki's materials are supplied by forests, especially by old woods, the production has no negative impact for conservation of forests. Yet, the profit that gains through the sale of Yoseki arts can provide the financial support for the conservation program of the forests. This cycle composed by material supply (wood) and financial support (conservation of forests) would attribute to sustainability of this project. Forest absorbs GHG. Then, well-grown old woods can be utilized as Yoseki arts. The profit of Yoseki come back to forests as planting new trees. So, this approach is considered as one measure of Climate Change Mitigation in terms of reducing the emission of GHG in the atmosphere. The neighboring community has a chance to participate the program through planting trees. The neighbor even has an opportunity to learn Yoseki arts. It may contribute to the criation of jobs for local project sites. Through Yoseki arts, the conscious of the public (consumers) are also expected. The public awareness is the key to realize the sustainable society, socially (creation of jobs), financially (profits toward to natural conservation) and environmentally (reuse of limited resources).
