The Global Monetary System is a failure for reasons we all understand. More than ever it's important for people to use their wallets as a means of "voting" for change. Tetla - (an alternative/complimentary currency) is a barter network that has been achieving progress for 3 years in Victoria, BC Canada (Lekwungen, Coast Salish Territory) - Participants can go out to eat, buy gorgeous clothing, purchase medicinal marijuana, get their house cleaned, order commerical printing... and much much more... Tetla has also been used to fund good works in our community. The Tetla Tsetsewatil has sponsored 17 hul'qumi'num language classes over the past 3 years and we have plans to do more work to help grow vibrant, healthy Indigenous families.
A Complimentary/Alternative Currency that is based on the traditional values and principles of the Coast Salish Indigenous people of Nort Western North America. A barter network that fosters local spending/trading.
